Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1957 Chevrolet 150 recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: There are very few classic cars more iconic than the '57 Chevy. Its very mention conjures up images of memorable car scenes from the big screen and a long list of universally revered songs. Combining a classically attractive two-tone color scheme, a very "cruise-friendly" interior and a drivetrain that's functioning at the top of its game, this 1957 Chevrolet 150 Utility Sedan has been taken up a few notches, and is ready, willing and able to hit the boulevard and car show scene right away. Two-tone paint jobs are certainly nothing new on classic cars, especially vintage Chevys, but you don't often see shades as nice as the combination of this teal accented with white. It's an effective choice - distinct and period classy. There are some pretty obvious reasons why the full-sized Chevys of this particular year are so prized for their styling, which was ironically due to undergo a major change this very year that was fortunately delayed. They're such stout, capable looking cars to begin with and that sturdy, dominant front grille, the rocket emblems resting on top of the hood to point the way forward, and the long stretches of chrome running the lengths of the back fenders all combine to create an unrivaled, high impact classic car appearance. Fortunately for a car carrying such a vast array of chrome, all pieces are present and accounted for and are in excellent condition, providing a glistening contrast to the pastel teal that dominates the bodywork. The interior is very inviting, offering a fully restored cabin that offers more elegance than you'd ever find in a 150 from the factory. Because this is a Utility Sedan, you'll only find a seating area up front and the vinyl upholstery on that bench seat is in excellent condition, adorned with a pattern that is replicated on the door panels. Just beyond the restored original steering wheel, a set of new gauges glisten in their factory pods, and they're augmented by a set of auxiliary gauges under the dash and a tachometer strapped to the steering column. Once again, this is a 150 Utility Sedan, which means zero options, to the point that its even factory spec'd as a radio/heater/wiper delete car. Yet sitting inside this 150 feels just as good as the Tri-5 resto-mods we have in our inventory, with the best part being the Hurst floor shifter that beckons the driver to hammer through some changes. Owing to this 150's generous proportions, there's plenty of room inside, which is a good thing, as you'll have no shortage of willing passengers to ride up front when you take this rolling nostalgia machine out on the road. There's also an abundance of cargo/luggage room in the very spacious rear and trunk area in back, along with a full-sized spare in the trunk sitting securely stowed off to the side in its recessed position. This is one classic car that will be poised to hit the road as soon as you get it home. The 400 cubic inch V8 roller motor nestled neatly in the engine bay has been built to brawl, augmented with stud girdles and a healthy cam, and fed through a Demon 4-barrel carburetor. That built small block is paired with a big-shaft Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, which is truly a match made in heaven that really takes advantage of the engine's power. The powerplant sits in a very clean engine bay that features a lot of nice dress-up pieces, including a well-proportioned radiator with a chrome cap, a polished pulley, finned air cleaner and valve covers, and a newer dual master cylinder. Long-tube headers feed a throaty Flowmaster dual exhaust system that empties underneath the rear bumper, and all the bushings underneath are new. In fact, the entire undercarriage is restored and nicely presented, including the original '57 rear end. This rare vintage cruiser sits on beautifully painted steel wheels adorned with period-correct hubcaps, all of which are wrapped in staggered 205/70/15 front and 235/70/15 rear blackwall radials.
