Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1974 Ford F-100 recalls can be found in this database. Additional Description: Plenty of V8 power, serious long bed utility, a custom interior, and a great two-tone paint job are all part of the cool custom attitude of this 1974 Ford F-100 Fleetside Longbed. This Ford has that cool old-school look. It's a factory-correct two-tone Wimbledon White and Burnt Orange, and it was resprayed to give you a good gloss and clearcoat shine. Plus, there's a ton of cool/custom details, like the hood scoop, billet grille, fold-out gas cap, quad exhaust tips, and 17-inch Mustang alloys. We particularly like how the Cobra logos are set into the front fenders. It gives this truck a nice sporty style. But it also doesn't lose its overall function. The long wheelbase with long bed means you're only making one trip to Home Depot before a project, and the liner paint even keeps it nicely protected. Even the bright chrome bumpers have a useful side with the diamond plate step version in the rear. And the reason why this is such a handy and distinct package is because this truck has remained in one family all its life. So it's a carefully crafted long-term custom. The impressive presentation continues inside. It starts with the custom seating that offers two high-back buckets for both sides, and you have the choice of a jump seat in the middle or a fold-down armrest center console in-between. The tan and brown two-tone in the seats coordinates with the door panels, rear panel, carpeting, and dash pad. You'll especially love the look of the matching headliner that also contains provisions for auxiliary gauges and a CB radio. You've got some nice comfort upgrades, like an AM/FM/CD stereo and R134a air conditioning (will need servicing.) The wood-rimmed steering wheel is on a tilt column. If the Cobra emblem in the center didn't convince you something special is under the hood, then the large tach mounted on the dash certainly will. There's even more Cobra style in the engine bay with the valve covers and matching long air grabber. This motor earns its sporty look. This is a big 390 cubic-inch V8, and it's enhanced with go-fast goodies like Holley double pumper four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock aluminum heads, an upgraded cam, Mallory HyFire adjustable ignition, and headers feeding the dual exhaust. You'll also spot the right supporting components, like steel-braided hoses, an Optima red top battery, and a large aluminum radiator. It's a strong-running motor that loves to make a deep rumble. Because this is the kind of package that's made to hit the road, you have nice features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and hydroboost power brakes with discs up front. Complete with owner's manual, this is the cool custom pickup with plenty of power and plenty of ability. That makes for an awesome truck that you need to get your hands on right now.
